34 And at three in the afternoon Jesus cried out in a loud voice, “Eloi, Eloi, lema sabachthani?” (which means“My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”)
Have I ever feel that God forsaken me? Yes, there are times; and in here Jesus asked God the same way the Psalmist David (Psalm 22) asked God why did God forsakes him. I feel so guilty, for I know Jesus have suffered because of me. Does God really forsakes me? I’m sure a loving God won’t ever forsake His people. He sacrificed His son and forsake Him because He loves me. This is how God loves me that no matter what situation I am in, He will never leave me nor forsake me that He will send His beloved son just to save me again and again – this is unfailing love.
Lord, I know my thank You will never be enough to say how grateful I am for Your love that You give Your own son, Jesus, to die instead of me. Lord, thank You for saving me and for not forsaking me. I love you. Amen.
